  1. The Sandy Springs City Council recently made amendments to its solid waste ordinance. This change will make the city eligible for 10 points on the Green Communities certification program. The amendments will require waste haulers to offer recycling programs to residential and nonresidential customers. (Subscription: The Atlanta Journal Constitution)
  2. At least 50 animals were rescued by the Fulton County Animal Services as part of a police investigation. Following the occurrence, Fulton County Animal Services hopes the public will consider adopting a pet or donating. The shelter is asking the public to consider one of the 300 pets who already live in the shelter so officials can accommodate new arrivals. (WSB Atlanta)
  3. Sandy Springs is showcasing its “contemporary jewel box” on Glen Lake Drive. The home is 5,849 square feet and features four bedrooms, four bathrooms, and another two half bathrooms on 1.46 acres.
