- The Fulton County Elections Board is hosting a special meeting today, Sep. 13, to discuss personnel matters. The meeting was previously unscheduled. The executive session will be a closed-door meeting and will likely be to discuss the vacant department director position. (The Atlanta Journal Constitution)
- Sandy Springs residents can now get their COVID-19 boosters. The Fulton County Board of Health has begun offering the new COVID-19 booster vaccine shots, which protect against various strains of COVID-19, including the original strain. The new booster will be offered at various department locations. Click for a full list of locations and times to receive the new booster. (CBS46)
- Local Hindus are encouraging Fulton County Schools to close on Diwali. The popular festival is being held on Oct. 24 this year. Rajan Zed, a distinguished Hindu statesman, said that the closure would be a step in the right direction in providing closure dates for all religious holidays. (News Patrolling)
