Three Arrested for Sunday Murder of Sandy Springs Man

On Sunday, Marietta Police found Takilam Terrell shot in a parking lot outside Milo's Bar and Grill. He was later pronounced dead at WellStar Kennestone Hospital .

 

The alleged shooter wanted in connection with the Sunday murder of Takilam Terrell, 34, of Sandy Springs, surrendered to Cobb authorities, Tuesday. Two other suspects were apprehended at an East Cobb apartment complex.

The shooting occurred at Milo’s Bar and Grill in Marietta.

The Cobb County Sheriff's Office Fugitive Unit arrested 36-year-old Trina Lesley Chatman and 48-year-old Joseph Ricky Hampton at Bentley Manor Apartments, Cobb Sheriff's Office spokeswoman Nancy Bodiford said in a statement.

They are each charged with homicide-murder during commission of a felony and aggravated assault weapon.

The alleged shooter, 42-year-old Dennis Lee Hampton of Marietta, is charged with aggravated assault-intent to murder, homicide-murder, homicide-murder during commission of a felony and possession of firearm.

"All three suspects are pending transport to the Cobb County Jail where they will be processed and booked," Bodiford said. "They have no bond."

At around 3 a.m. on Sunday, Marietta Police responded to a "person shot" call at Milo’s Bar. Upon arrival, officers discovered Terrell in a parking lot, Marietta said Detective Christopher Lindsey, in the press statement.

Terrell was taken to WellStar Kennestone Hospital with a gunshot wound. He underwent emergency surgery, but died later Sunday morning.
