Thursday Evening Storm Downs Trees, Power Lines
Sandy Springs Police advise motorists to stay off the road because of limited sight distance.
Sandy Springs police, fire and work crews moved quickly to local streets, Thursday evening, as storms dropped trees and power lines throughout the city.
Tree branches scattered Roswell Road shortly after 8 p.m. A section of trees parts had fallen onto the street, south of the Reserve Apartments at 7100 Roswell Road. The Atlanta Journal-Constitution reported a structure collapse on Tree Lodge Parkway.

An alert from the SSPD said utility crews, including Georgia Power, would be working all night to restore services. Power was out from at least north of the Abernathy/Roswell Road intersection to Hightower Trail.
Because of limited sight distance, police advised motorist to stay off the road.
