Upcoming: Art Sandy Springs’ 30-days of Music, Film, Exhibits, Performances

Art Sandy Springs, an annual celebration of the arts, includes music, film, gallery openings, food and more from April 18-May 17.

Twenty organizations and businesses produce the events. Below are highlights. Also see the attached calendar. 

ArtSSapalooza. An open-air visual art and handcraft fest, April 20-21, with 150 Georgia artists and artisans. Located on Lake Forest Drive, the show features artists’ demonstrations, live entertainment, food and beverages and hands-on art childrens’ activities

Foodie Friday. A street-side party on four Friday nights at Kudzu & Co. on Roswell Road; with food trucks from the Atlanta Street Food Coalition and live music provided by Steve’s Live Music.

ArtSS About Town. Thirteen Sandy Springs restaurants feature the works of 26 local artists for sale during the 30 days, with a portion of the proceeds benefiting Art Sandy Springs.

Showstoppers. A musical and theatrical competition of young actors ages 5-18 performing at Act3 Playhouse. The event features celebrity judges and splashy production numbers performed by the finalists in each age group.
