- The National Weather Service issued an urgent wind chill watch for many Georgia counties, including North Fulton County, that will be in effect from late Thursday, Dec. 22, through Saturday morning, Dec. 24. Residents should prepare for dangerously cold wind chills and very cold temperatures. (Cobb County Courier)
- On Dec. 20, a fire broke out at the Wellington Townhomes in nearby College Park that displaced multiple residents. Fire chief Wade Elmore said there were no injuries reported, and the fire was extinguished, other than hot spots. Red Cross is assisting those who were displaced by the fire. (WSB-TV)
- There will be no Sandy Springs Library events until after the holidays. The next event will be a Teen Study Hall on Dec. 26. Events will continue with Hula Dancing classes on Dec. 27. (Fulton County Library)
