The ninth annual ceremony will be held on the green at City Springs, and will include three family-friendly events.

SANDY SPRINGS, GA — The city of Sandy Springs is just weeks away from commemorating Veterans Day with its ninth annual ceremony. This year's tribute, set for Friday, Nov. 9, will be held at City Springs and include three family-friendly events.
The city’s traditional Veterans Day Tribute kicks off at 11:30 a.m. at the City Green, with retired USMCR Colonel Jim Bacchus serving as keynote speaker. Bacchus served in Operation Desert Storm and Operation Iraqi Freedom. Providing music will be the 116th Army Band Brass Quintet, and returning as emcee is former WSB-TV anchor John Pruitt, a U.S. Army veteran and Sandy Springs resident.
Immediately following the Veterans Day Tribute, there will be a celebration honoring the 243rd birthday of the United States Marine Corps, including a traditional cake cutting. The event will take place in the Sandy Springs Performing Arts Center.
