  1. Fulton County Public Works will be hosting a virtual workshop on Wednesday, Nov. 15. The workshop will be focused on fats, oils, and grease (FOG) sewer system prevention. The department typically experiences a significant increase in sewer overflows during the holiday season due to FOG consumption. The workshop will share tips on preventing home blockages.   2. The Sandy Springs Recreation and Parks Department will be hosting a Family Environmental Education event on Saturday, Dec. 3. The event's topic will be owls. There is a $10 fee per participating family. The event will be held at Morgan Falls Overlook Park at 10:00 a.m. (City of Sandy Springs)
