Weekender: 'Hair' at Act3, Festival, 5K Run/Walk and More
See what's happening in Sandy Springs this weekend.

- Act3 Presents “Hair.” The iconic show, features such familiar songs as “Good Morning Starshine,” “Hair” and "Aquarius." The play which debuted on Broadway in 1968, is a product of the hippie counter-culture and the anti-war movement of the time. Showtimes are 8 p.m. on Fridays and Saturdays through June 29. A 3 p.m., matinee is held on June 23. Tickets range from $15 to $28 and are available at www.act3productions.org or by calling the box office at 770-241-1905.
- The Punchline. Josh Sneed performs through Sunday. In 2008, he finished second in Comedy Central’s “Stand-up Showdown,” earning him a deal to record a new album on Comedy Central Records. $15-$20. Visit the website for show times.
- Northside 5K Run/Walk. Northside Hospital holds its fourth annual Stroke Awareness 5K Run/Walk at 7 a.m., Saturday, at the Northside/Interchange Professional Building, 5780 Peachtree Dunwoody Road, Atlanta. All proceeds benefit the Stroke Support Groups at Northside Hospital. The Stroke 5K entry fee is $25 and all walkers and runners will receive a T-shirt at the finish. A reduced entry fee of $20 per walker/runner is available for teams of five or more. For more information, call 404-845-5265 or download the registration form.
- CAC Food ’n Fun Festival. The Community Assistance Center holds its first annual Food `n Fun Festival, from 2-6 p.m., Sunday at the Morgan Falls Athletic Complex. The event includes a Hunger Awareness Walk, parade, Frisbee golf, a kids zone, arts and crafts, live music and food. Admission is one food item. A minimum $10 gets you a Food ‘n Fun t-shirt or CAC canvas bag. The CAC serves families in need in Sandy Springs and Dunwoody.
