The warrant claims that undercover narcotics officers regularly purchased quantities of hard drugs from Baza-Maldonado and members of his alleged organization from Feb. 7, 2014 to Oct. 21, 2015. Investigators believe the operation had been in business since September of 2013.
Undercover agents reported that Baza-Maldonado always directed them to a location in Cobb County to purchase the drugs they had arranged to buy. Some purchases in the warrant include $1,900 for 55.85 grams of methamphetamine, $600 for 6.87 grams of heroin, and $900 for 27.19 grams of cocaine.
Baza-Maldonado remains incarcerated in the Cobb County jail on charges of trafficking in cocaine, illegal drugs, marijuana, or methamphetamine, two charges of possession of cocaine with intent to distribute, a schedule II drug offense, and violating Georgia’s RICO statute.
