Campbell High School Ranked 27th in the State

The ranking was based on schools' student to teacher ratio, rate of college readiness and students' proficiency in math and English.

According to a recent U.S. News report, Smyrna’s was ranked 27th best high school in Georgia.

The report judged each school on its teacher to student ratio, students’ rate of college readiness, and students’ average proficiency in math and English. Campbell’s student to teacher ratio was smaller than the state average with 14 students for every one teacher.

The school was also judged on students’ college readiness, which U.S. News based on the percentage of 12th graders who were tested and passed Advanced Placement exams. Of Campbell’s 2,240 students, 34 percent took AP exams and half of them passed.

Campbell was also ranked based on students’ proficiency in math and English. The report found that 94 percent of Campbell students were proficient in math based on the state level test and 92 percent were proficient in English. This rate was near the state’s average.
