FBI Seeks Bank Robber, Fugitive

Agents believe Lewis Jones robbed the Regions Bank on Cumberland Parkway in September of last year

The FBI is asking for the public’s help to locate a fugitive they suspect of robbing a bank in Smyrna at gunpoint last year.

Lewis Jones, 35, is one of three men who allegedly robbed the Regions Bank at 1650 Cumberland Parkway on Sept. 9, 2014, agents said Wednesday. Jones’ two alleged co-defendants are in custody, with one awaiting sentencing and the other awaiting trial.

The trio are accused of robbing the Navy Federal Credit Union on Briarcliff Road in Atlanta on Aug. 12, 2014 as well, according to the FBI.

Jones is described as being a black male, age 35, 6’0” in height, weighing 300 lbs., with black hair and brown eyes. He is considered armed and dangerous, an FBI wanted poster says.
