Five Arrested In Smyrna For Selling Underage Booze
The arrests and citations came after a Smyrna police underage alcohol check on Wednesday.
SMYRNA, GA -- Five people were arrested and five citations given on Wednesday during an underage booze check in Smyrna. Police went to several businesses in the city to see if they were selling alcohol to underage teens. If the business passed the compliance check, the owner receives a letter from the police chief, complimenting them on ensuring people under the age of 21 are not able to purchase alcohol from their establishment. Businesses failing the compliance check are subject to citation and the individual who sold the alcohol to an underage minor is arrested and charged with alcohol sale to a minor.
