Joella’s Hot Chicken Expanding To Cumberland, Kennesaw
The hot chicken brand is also opening new locations in Woodstock and Newnan.

ATLANTA — Joella’s Hot Chicken, a Louisville, Kentuck-based fast-casual restaurant known for hot chicken and Southern side dishes, is opening its first Georgia locations later this summer in Cumberland, Kennesaw, Woodstock and Newnan. These metro Atlanta locations will join five new stores set to open across Florida, Indiana and Ohio this year, expanding Joella’s footprint to five states.
Each of the Atlanta locations will offer counter service and dining spaces, in addition to drive thru access. For each new restaurant, Joella’s plans to give away “Free Hot Chicken for a Year” to the first 100 visitors. Guests in line on opening day will be treated to complimentary chicken and waffles and coffee, in addition to Joella’s swag.
“Expanding to Atlanta is something we have been looking forward to for quite a while,” said Christina Happel, a vice president for Joella’s Hot Chicken. “We’re excited to introduce our made-from-scratch menu and look forward to becoming a part of the Atlanta community.”
