One Person Dead In Cobb Apartment Shooting
One person has been reported dead in a Wednesday shooting outside an apartment complex close to Austell.

AUSTELL, GA -- One person has been reported dead in a Wednesday shooting outside an apartment complex close to Austell, according to Cobb County police. The incident happened before noon at the Crescent Square Apartments in the 2000 block of Austell Road, Cobb police told Patch.
Officers responding to the call arrived to find a man deceased at the scene, Cobb police spokeswoman Alicia Chilton told Patch in an email. The call was received at 11:34 a.m. "regarding a person shot outside an apartment complex," she said.
"There is one male deceased on the scene. Still a very active scene. I am on scene, and detectives are actively working the investigation," Chilton said. Cobb police will put out more information as it comes in, she said.

Neighbors congregated after the shooting, concerned about the area's safety, according to local news media. Witnesses told them that the shooting was preceded by an argument of some kind. No other information was available.
