- The Cobb Superior Court Ceremonial Courtroom recently hosted an event to celebrate the graduation of five individuals from the Cobb County Drug Treatment Court, attended by judges, elected officials, and community members. The graduates and staff shared emotional stories detailing their journey toward overcoming substance abuse and the positive impact of the 18- to 24-month program. The Drug Treatment Court's approach involves close supervision, individualized, evidence-based treatment, and recovery support to help offenders become productive members of society. (MDJOnline.com)
- Across the U.S., including in Cobb County, gas prices are increasing due to a rise in oil prices. According to AAA, the average gas price per gallon in Georgia has gone up by 15 cents in a week. This means that in Cobb County, the average cost of filling a 15-gallon tank with regular gas has now reached $50.55. (MDJOnline.com)
- The Cobb Chamber of Commerce has announced that The Music Studio Atlanta, which expanded with an East Cobb location last year, is a finalist for the 2023 Small Business of the Year award. The Music Studio Atlanta, based in Vinings, provides musical instruction to both children and adults.
