SMYRNA-VININGS, GA -- The Georgia Department of Labor (GDOL) will help Save-A-Lot staff two new grocery stores set to open in February in Mableton and Marietta. The company is recruiting about 50 store clerks and half-a-dozen meat cutters.
The recruitments will be held Wednesday through Friday, Dec. 16-18, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the GDOL’s Cobb Cherokee Career Center located at 465 Big Shanty Road in Marietta.
Applicants must be at least 18 years old. A high school diploma, or a General Education Diploma (GED), is preferred of all applicants, but not required. They should bring copies of their resume and dress in business casual attire to increase their opportunities for employment.
While no experience is required of the store clerks, at least two years of experience is required of the meat cutters. Salaries for the meat cutters range from $10 to $18 an hour, depending on experience. The store clerks will make $7.50 to $8 an hour.
The company will conduct a background check and drug-screening test.
For additional information about the recruitment, contact the GDOL’s Cobb-Cherokee Career Center at (770) 528-6100.
