SunTrust Park Hits Construction Milestone

Residents are also invited to participate in an open house event slated for next Monday focusing on the Braves' new stadium.

The construction team behind the Atlanta Braves’ Cobb County ballpark says they recently reached a milestone that keeps them on track for Opening Day 2017.

American Builders 2017 told the Atlanta Journal-Constitution that the work on the structural concrete was completed on Nov. 17, in line with projections that called for a November completion date.

The next milestone should be the completion of steel work in February, the AJC said.
