SUV Crashes Into Vinings Apartment

No one was injured in the collision.

UPDATE: Police say the driver of an SUV that struck a Vinings apartment building will be charged for driving without insurance.

The driver of the vehicle, whose name has not been released at this time, told officers at the scene that he lost control of his vehicle and careened into the stairwell of a Mission Ridge apartment building in Vinings. Before colliding with the building the SUV struck a curb, which police say prevented the driver from going further into the structure.

There was only one person in the building at the time, but not in the apartment that was struck. Neither the occupant nor the driver was injured.
