Accelerating Research for Alzheimer's

Together We Succeed

"We have made unparalleled progress in understanding the science of Alzheimer’s disease and related dementias as well as dementia care and services. Our two most recent summits resulted in nearly 100 additional recommendations to chart our course forward. Setting sail for new horizons requires continued investment." Dr. Francis Collins Director National Institute of Health (NIH).
The request of $354 million for FY2021 was put forth in the ByPass Budget recently presented to Congress builds on the progress of recent years funding. We can only reach our goal of an effective treatment by 2025 and ultimately a cure for Alzheimer’s and related dementias if we continue to invest in the funding for research.
We have so far invested over 2 billion in research to unlock the causes of our nation’s 6th leading cause of death that has no treatment or cure. Research is producing results, but good science requires time and on ongoing funding to reach the goal of a world without Alzheimer’s.
Join me in telling your members of Congress that together we can succeed in finding the cure, please support this funding request.
I thank Congressman David Scott for his ongoing support of funding for this goal at the NIH.
