- Traffic was jammed up yesterday on I-75 South as Cobb County EMS responded to a multi-car crash that injured several individuals. The accident occurred on the interstate north of Terell Mill Road; four patients were transferred to Grady Memorial with various injuries. Their injury statuses are unknown. Police are still investigating the cause of the crash. (WSB Atlanta)
- Faith leaders and civilians joined in prayer after the death of 16-year-old Lloyd Foster III, another victim of gun violence. The rapid increase in gun violence has shaken the state of Georgia; within 12 hours, 14 young people have suffered from gun violence incidents. During the gathering, Oshebar Hardman and the AND Campaign called for the community to stand up against gun violence and help make the community a safer space for children. (11Alive.com WXIA)
- The Atlanta Police Department is asking for the public's assistance as they search for two suspects caught on camera breaking into a convenience store on the 3000 block of Fairburn Road. When police arrived at the scene, they found a damaged door, damaged ATM, gaming machine, and cash register. The video showed the suspects breaking in with a pry bar. The suspects stole tickets and cigarettes, according to the police, and no money was left in the store overnight. Information can be given anonymously; a reward will be available for up to $2,000. - On Friday, Cobb County Police Department's Officer Banks attended a Touch-a-Truck event hosted by the Macland Presbyterian Church, where children were able to check out Banks patrol car, see the flashing blue lights, and receive their own junior police badge sticker.
