- Vinings resident Vicky Savrin is attempting to extend past her loyal customers and hit a larger audience by opening Cafe Rivkah in nearby East Cobb. Cafe Rivkah is a restaurant that serves breakfast and lunch from Mediterranean and European backgrounds. Savrin hopes the little restaurant can separate itself from the local commercial chain restaurants and identify as a great local spot part of the neighborhood. You can sit in the restaurant at tables and booths, or you can order online or via phone call for takeout. (East Cobb News)
- Earlier this week, a woman was rescued by several departments after getting stuck in a storm drain. On Thursday, a woman attempted to escape her court date in Cobb County Superior Court's mental health court by climbing into the storm drain. Several hours passed before responders were able to rescue her from the drain. The woman was transported to the hospital for medical treatment and additional evaluation. (FOX 5 Atlanta)
- The Smyrna Public Library and Keep Smyrna Beautiful have partnered up to provide Community Cleanup Kits! Each Community Cleanup Kit contains enough supplies and materials for two people.
