DeKalb Police Issue 100 Citations At Large Street-Racing Event

DeKalb County Police are working to bring the suspected organizer of a recent massive street-racing gathering into custody.

STONE MOUNTAIN, GA — A multiagency effort recently broke up a street-racing event that included 100 cars at Wade Walker Park, DeKalb County Police said Wednesday.

Authorities were notified around 1:15 a.m. Saturday about the attempted street-racing meet-up at the Rockbridge Road park, police said.

With the help of Stone Mountain and Lithonia police officers, DKPD said they blocked the cars from leaving the park and issued 100 citations for being at Wade Walker after dark.
