DeKalb Man Kept Girlfriend, Children From Leaving Home: Cops
A man, with six active warrants against him, was accused of refusing to allow his girlfriend and kids to leave their DeKalb County home.
LITHONIA, GA — A 31-year-old man was arrested after DeKalb County Police said he violated a no-contact order by illegally entering his girlfriend's Lithonia home and refusing to allow her and her children to leave.
Officers responded to a trespassing call around 2:15 a.m. Thursday in the 5100 block of Fairington Ridge Circle.
Police said a juvenile girl told emergency dispatchers she was afraid and hiding in a bathroom after Calvin Millbrooks, her mother's boyfriend, illegally came into their home.

The girl told 911 that Millbrooks was hindering her, her mother and her younger sibling from leaving the home, police said.
Millbrooks was accused of refusing to answer the door when officers arrived; but after several hours, police said officers were able to enter through a window and remove the family.

Officers then took Millbrooks, who was out on bond for a separate incident involving his girlfriend and her children, into custody, police said.
No one was injured in the incident, police said.
Six active warrants were previously taken out against Millbrooks in domestic violence incidents involving the family, and he was under a no-contact order as a condition of his bond release, police said.
Potential new charges against Millbrooks were not immediately known Thursday.
