Faith & Blue Begins Saturday at VFW Park: Join the Fun, Support the Purpose (Stone Mountain Police Department)

STONE MOUNTAIN, GA-On Saturday, October 11th, the heart of Stone Mountain Village will beat with a rhythm of unity and purpose, hosting a full day of events for Faith & Blue. This national initiative is dedicated to building strong, trusting relationships between law enforcement and the communities they serve, guided by the power of faith. This year's local celebration is a unique opportunity to connect with neighbors, clergy, and police while working toward a common good.

The day begins with a Community Garden workday from 9:00 to 11:00 a.m. at VFW Park, 888 Gordon Street adjacent to the US Post Office. This is a chance to put your hands in the soil and help grow fresh produce for local families in need, all alongside fellow residents and law enforcement. It's a powerful and tangible way to contribute to the community's well-being.

At 11:00 a.m., the focus shifts to a powerful statement against domestic violence with the "Walk A Mile in Her Shoes" march. This one-mile walk allows participants to show solidarity with survivors and raise awareness about this important issue. It is a visible and impactful way to stand together and support one another.

Beyond the fun, this celebration provides a valuable space for meaningful interaction with the police, clergy, and local leaders. It's a time to celebrate the collective spirit of the community and the progress made together.

This Faith & Blue Day in Stone Mountain is more than just a series of events; it's a testament to the idea that strong, safe neighborhoods are built on mutual respect and shared effort. Everyone is welcome to participate in this day of service, awareness, and celebration. Come show your community pride and be a part of "Building Bridges to More Inclusive Communities".
