STONE MOUNTAIN-LITHONIA, GA— Moms do so much for everyone around them. We try to celebrate them all year long, but Mother's Day is a perfect opportunity to shout it from the rooftops and post it on Patch: Mom rocks!
Here at Patch we've launched an initiative to help recognize the awesome moms and mom figures in communities like yours.

What makes your Mom extra special?
She is special because she takes care of the family and makes sure my brother, who had a stroke almost two years, has the best care. When the doctors told her to put him in hospice, she didn’t give up, and that’s why my brother is still alive today.
Why do you feel your Mom deserves the spotlight?
She deserves a spotlight because she has always been a focused women and godly woman, and family is always first. She’s never top far away to always have a listening ear. Me and my siblings are in our 30s and 40s and 50s, but if we need her, we can count on her.
