Police ID Stone Mountain Man Killed In Shooting

Police said a 48-year-old man was fatally shot during a domestic dispute in Stone Mountain.

STONE MOUNTAIN, GA — The man who died in a domestic dispute that escalated to a shooting Monday at Salem Drive has been identified.

Gwinnett County Police on Tuesday identified the man as Terrance Kinard, 48, of Stone Mountain.

Though police said a suspect was detained, they said no criminal charges were filed as of Tuesday.

The shooting occurred around 7:45 a.m. When officers arrived, they found Kinard dead from at least one gunshot wound, police said.

The shooting derived from a domestic dispute between two people known to each other, police said.

A motive in the shooting was not revealed.
