Murder Suspect Arrested After Man's Body Found In Burning Car
A man is facing murder charges in DeKalb and Fulton counties after another man, who was fatally shot, was found dead in a burning car.
DECATUR, GA — A man has been arrested in connection with the shooting death of a Lithonia man whose body was found in a burning car three days before last Christmas, the DeKalb County Sheriff's Office said Tuesday.
Authorities say the body of Mario Culver, 36, was found in a burning car on Dec. 22, 2024 at Wilson Avenue in Atlanta after he was fatally shot in Ellenwood.
Investigators, with the help of the U.S. Marshals Service and South Fulton Police SWAT, tracked shooting suspect Marcus Overstreet, 42, of Atlanta, on July 22 to a Flat Shoals Road apartment in Union City, authorities said.
