• Woman Kills Girl, Then Self, In DeKalb Shooting, Police Say (patch.com) — A deadly domestic shooting early Friday on Chatfield Drive in Stone Mountain left a girl dead, a man seriously injured, and the suspected shooter dead from an apparent suicide, according to DeKalb County Police. Officers say the woman in her 30s shot the man, then the girl, before taking her own life, and investigators are still working to understand the relationships and motive.
   

• Car plows into home in Stone Mountain, injuring driver, passenger, police say (11alive.com) — A car crashed through a woodline and down a steep slope before slamming into a home on Parkwood Trace in Stone Mountain Friday night, seriously injuring the driver and hurting a passenger. DeKalb County police say it’s still unclear what caused the wreck, and they have not yet said whether anyone inside the house was injured.
   

• Family grieves after mother, 11-year-old daughter killed inside Stone Mountain home (atlantanewsfirst.com) — A Stone Mountain mother and her 11-year-old daughter were fatally shot inside their home early Friday, and a man has been charged with two counts of malice murder. Family members describe a history of emotional abuse and say the couple’s six-month-old baby, who was unharmed, is now in his grandmother’s care.
