Suspect At Large In Fatal Stone Mountain Shooting

Two shootings Friday in Gwinnett County killed two men, with the latest taking place at Stone Mountain Highway, police say.

STONE MOUNTAIN, GA — Another shooting in Gwinnett County on Friday claimed the life of a man, and the suspect is at large, police said.

Shortly after noon, Gwinnett County Police said officers were responding to a shooting in the 4300 block of Stone Mountain Highway. Later in the day, police said the fatal shooting occurred in the back parking lot of an extended-stay hotel.

Officers found a man suffering from at least one gunshot wound in the parking lot. The man was taken to a local hospital, where he died, police said.

The man, who was not identified, was shot and killed by someone known to him, police said. The suspect, also not identified, is at large.

The deadly incident comes after a shooting early Friday killed a man at Jimmy Carter Boulevard in Norcross. Police said the shooting suspect, who was not described, remains at large.
