Mass Layoffs Likely At Macy's DeKalb Facility: Report

TUCKER, GA -- A DeKalb County Macy's facility may be hit hard with layoffs, according to news reports.

A Georgia Department of Economic Development database indicates 133 workers could be "impacted" at the site, the Atlanta Journal-Constitution reports. Ground zero for the job losses is the Macy’s logistics and operations center at 4401 Sarr Parkway in Tucker.

Macy’s announced at the beginning of the year that they would be closing 70 stores, as Patch previously reported. The Macy's at Georgia Square, Athens is on the closure list.
