Brick Pavers Still Available At Cherokee Veterans Park

CANTON, GA — Residents can still buy commemorative brick pavers at the Cherokee Veterans Park monument, which opened last year along Ga. 20 in the Macedonia community east of Canton. The centerpiece of the design is an American flag with five granite walls and plaques depicting the names and mottoes for each military branch of service and the year each branch was established.

The pentagon-shaped plaza also has seat walls and a five-pointed star with a column at the point and the seal for each branch of the armed services on the column. There is also an area in tribute to those veterans who were prisoners of war or who remain missing in action.

Each point of the star includes brick pavers to thank our veterans and commemorate their service.
Veterans, their families and civilians alike can participate in the monument by purchasing a brick paver.

Three different styles of bricks are available: 4 inch-by-8 inch with up to three lines of text for $75; 8 inch-by-8 inch with up to six lines of text for $100; and 8 inch-by-8 inch with a military seal and 3 lines of text for $125. All proceeds are used for the design, construction and upkeep of the monument.
