Aurora K-9s In Running For Thousands In Grant Money

Residents can cast their votes to help Aurora's K-9 police officers get up to $5,000 in grant money.

AURORA, IL — Aurora's K-9 force is often at the ready to help citizens and now they need help from residents. The city's K-9 squad is in the running for the K-9 Grant from Aftermath, which totals up to $5,000.

Residents can vote once every 24 hours by finding Aurora on the K-9 Aftermath Grant map. You can vote anytime between Oct. 23 and Nov. 3.

The winning K-9 team will receive $5,000 in grants, 2nd place will get $4,000, 3rd place will get $3,000, 4th place will get $2,000, and 5th place will get $1,500. Two teams will be awarded $500 each for honorable mentions.

Winners will be chosen from K-9s throughout the United States and will be announced Nov. 6, so be sure to get your vote in for your favorite K-9.
