Man, 49, Shot While Filling Tank At South Broadway Gas Station: Aurora Police
The man was shot multiple times in the upper body, Aurora police said.

AURORA, IL — A man, 49, was shot early Monday morning while pumping gas at a station on South Broadway, Aurora police said.
Officers responded at 3:44 a.m. to Mobil, at 300 S. Broadway, to find a man suffering from multiple upper-body gunshot wounds. Paramedics took him to a local hospital, where he remains Monday afternoon in stable condition, police said. No other injuries were reported.
The victim was standing outside his car, filling his gas tank, when a man approached and shot him, according to police. The suspect then fled eastbound from Mobil.

The suspect was wearing a gray winter coat, brown pants and brown shoes, police said. K-9 units searched the area but did not locate the man.
“This was a brazen and unprovoked act of violence, and behavior like this has no place in our community,” Chief Matt Thomas said in a statement. “We are grateful the victim is expected to recover, and our detectives are actively working to identify the offender.”
