National Weather Service Urges Residents To Take Cover From Winds

The National Weather Service has put a severe thunderstorm warning into effect until late Thursday night.

WILL COUNTY, IL — The National Weather Service has issued a severe thunderstorm warning for Will County. The areas most affected will be Aurora, Plainfield and Chicago, with winds possibly reaching up to 60 mph. The warning will be in effect until about 8 p.m.

"Get inside a sturdy structure in/near Aurora & Plainfield!" the National Weather Service said in a statement.
