'Peanuts' Village On Display With Santa At Fox Valley Mall

AURORA, IL — Guests of Fox Valley Mall are invited to experience "the timeless charm of Snoopy and friends" during visits with Santa this holiday season, in honor of the 75th anniversary of the "Peanuts" comic strip.

Running until Christmas Eve, the "Peanuts Christmas Experience with Santa" experience promises festive decor, twinkling lights a holiday village featuring characters from the iconic comic strip by Charles M. Schulz. The display is set up on the lower level by Macy's, where Santa is also waiting to make children's wishes come true.

The whimsical display is set up like a walkway, taking guests through Peanuts scenes. Visitors will pass life-size versions of Charlie Brown, Snoopy, Woodstock and Lucy, the iconic Peanuts holiday trees, and a backdrop featuring ice skating and twinkling lights. They'll also step across a musical dance floor and visit Lucy's advice booth, which will speak when they enter.

The experience concludes at Santa's seat, where kids can whisper their wishes to the jolly man. Plus, every Saturday from 3-5 p.m., visitors can meet the Snoopy characters along with Santa.

"Our goal is to offer a warm, nostalgic, and highly visual holiday experience that brings families together and elevates the joy of the season," mall executives told Patch. "The Peanuts Experience serves as both a premium photo opportunity and a community centerpiece that all visitors can enjoy—whether they’re shopping, dining, or simply exploring the center."

Santa's daily visiting hours vary throughout December. Reservations, available in 15-minute slots, are encouraged but not required. Visits with Santa are free, and professional photography packages are available for purchase.
