Students as young as the age of three are encouraged to explore movement and creativity in classes such as little leapers, messy movers, or creative dramatics. For students in grades 6-12 we have a wide variety of classes to choose from including; vocal techniques, dance conditioning and choreography, and acting on camera to name a few. PSA also offers robust adult programming including classes in piano, tap, vocal techniques, and improv.

For a more intense training opportunity PSA has audition-based programs in musical theater, dance, and acting. These audition programs are year-long cohorots for students that want to deepen their understanding of performing arts as a career and prepare for professional and collegiate opportunities. The connection we have to our regional theater allows our students to work with industry professionals that they see on our stages; some of the students at PSA have even been cast in Paramount Theatre’s productions such as Wizard of Oz, Fun Home, and most recently The Sound of Music. PSA also offers workshops with industry professionals such as Thayne Jasperson from Hamilton on Broadway, Paul-Jordan Jansen from Paramount Theatre’s Sweeney Todd, or Mallory Maedke from Paramounts Little Mermaid, and most recently Broadway’s Six-The Musical.
