St. Charles Man Facing Drug and Sex Crime Charges Needs a New Lawyer
Current attorneys for Mark Lewis, a former Geneva doctor, have removed themselves.

A St. Charles man whose home was raided in a drug investigation is seeking a new lawyer, according to a recent court filing. Mark G. Lewis, 56, formerly a doctor in Geneva, has “irreconcilable differences” with his attorneys Michael Krejci and Dean Kekos.
Lewis is also accused of criminal sexual assault in a 2012 attack on a woman in his house after a party.
Krejci and Kekos have removed themselves from his cases.

“These irreconcilable differences have caused a breakdown in the attorney-client relationship and the attorneys believe they can no longer represent the defendant, and that it would be in (Lewis’) best interests to seek new counsel,” they wrote in a request to the court.
Lewis worked as a physician at at American Family Doctor in Geneva. His license has since been suspended.

In May, officers from the North Central Narcotics Task Force found 199 marijuana plants in his St. Charles home on Squire Lane, as well as a handgun, ammo and 11,722 grams of processed pot, according to police.
