Man Follows Group Of Kids In Ada Park; Tries To Abduct 6-Year-Old: CPD

CHICAGO — Chicago 22nd District police have released a surveillance photo of a man they say approached a group of children Friday near Ada (Sawyer Garrett) Park in the Morgan Park neighborhood. The man is also alleged to have invited the children over to his residence.

Police said the man followed and approached the group of children near Ada Park, 11250 S. Ada St. He is alleged to have touched a 6-year-old girl and tried to abduct her. He then invited the children to his residence.

The suspect is described as a male Hispanic, 25 to 35 years of age, light complexion,
medium build, 5 feet, 7 inches to 5 feet 10 inches tall and weighing 160 to 180 pounds. He has close-shaven black hair, a beard and blue eyes. The suspect was wearing a light colored, long sleeve shirt and green pants pulled up to his knees.
