Teens Kill Coyote Pup In Mount Greenwood: Reports
Chicago police are investigating after the teens reportedly stomped the pup to death.
CHICAGO — Three teenagers killed a coyote pup over the weekend in Chicago’s Mount Greenwood neighborhood, according to reports.
Police responded around 3:45 p.m. Saturday to the 10600 bock of South Sacramento Avenue, where witnesses reported three males abusing a coyote, authorities said. Officers found a dead coyote on private property and the animal was removed, according to police, who said no one was in custody as of Wednesday afternoon.
Area resident Dave Kielbasa told Block Club Chicago that he saw a black pickup truck park in front of his house, then the driver got out and met three people on the property of the neighboring Ridge Country Club, and he saw them jumping and kicking.

“Then I realize it’s a coyote they are doing it to,” he told the outlet.
Kielbasa confronted the teens and the driver apologized but drove away, Block Club Chicago reported, adding the pup was part of a family often seen in the area in recent months.

“They don’t harm anyone,” Kielbasa said to the publication. “They even have a cat that travels with them. And I’ve seen the pup in my own yard. I enjoy looking at them, so it was sad to see him lying there dead.”
