Downers Grove, Woodridge Letter Carriers to 'Stamp Out Hunger'

Donations will be collected Saturday, May 11, and delivered to the West Suburban Community Food Pantry, located at 6809 Hobson Valley Drive in Woodridge.

This food drive is an easy one. As easy as putting out the mail. It's even easier, because you don't need a stamp.

On Saturday, May 11, Downers Grove and Woodridge letter carriers will join in the effort to Stamp Out Hunger, a nationwide effort to combat hunger.

To participate in the 21st annual Stamp Out Hunger food drive, residents are encouraged to leave a sturdy bag containing non-perishable foods, such as canned soup, canned vegetables, pasta, rice or cereal next to their mailbox prior to the time of regular mail delivery on Saturday.
