DOWNERS GROVE, IL — Police in Downers Grove responded to three reports of retail thefts in just over a week. During the incidents, alcohol and electronic items were reported stolen and one arrest was made.

Retail Theft at Walgreens, 1000 Ogden Ave.

Police say a man stole a bottle of vodka from the Walgreens at 1000 Ogden Avenue on Oct. 15. Employees told police the man came into the store around 3:30 p.m., hid a bottle of New Amsterdam vodka in his sweatshirt, and fled north down Main Street.

Shortly after the incident, a man who matched the description of the suspect was spotted in Doerhoefer Park, 4101 Venard Rd. Police arrested Timothy P. Bagley, 47, of the 700 block of Liberty Drive, Wheaton. Bagley was cited for retail theft and trespassing, according to a police report.

Retail Theft at Binny's Beverage Depot, 2020 Butterfield Rd.

A man stole more than $600 worth of tequila from Binny's Beverage Depot, 2020 Butterfield Rd., according to the Downers Grove Police Department's crime blotter. Police say the man came into the store around 2:30 p.m. on Oct. 6 and took four bottles of Rey del Mundo anejo tequila without paying. The loss was valued at $639.96.

Retail Theft at Best Buy, 1432 Butterfield Rd.

Police say a man stole a power bank from a box at the Best Buy at 1432 Butterfield Rd. Employees told police they noticed on Oct. 12 that an Anker power bank had been taken from its box. A man was shown on surveillance footage removing the item, which was valued at $189.99.
