HS Wrestling Team’s Gear Stolen Out of Van: Report
Eight backpacks were reportedly stolen out of a van while the team was competing in Collinsville.

COLLINSVILLE, IL — The South Elgin High School wrestling team’s gear was reportedly stolen out of a van while the team was competing at a weekend tournament in Collinsville.
The gear was worth about $2,500, the Courier-New reported, and another $3,000 worth of electronics were stolen.
The crooks struck while the team was having lunch Friday, the paper said.

“Thieves broke the lock on the team van, which was parked in an adjacent lot, and took the backpacks that contained the team's wrestling singlets, headgear, warmup suits and shoes as well as several tablets, cellphones and high-end headphones, (Coach Mark Cameron) said,” according to the Courier-News.
