Almost 20 Cars Burglarized In Geneva: Police
The burglaries happened early Thursday on 10 streets throughout Geneva, police said.
GENEVA, IL — Almost 20 cars were burglarized early Thursday, Geneva police said.
The burglaries occurred at the following locations:
- Andover Lane
- Bedford Lane
- Bridgeport Lane
- Brookfield Lane
- Greenwich Lane
- Normandy Lane
- Sheffield Lane
- Southampton Court
- Southampton Drive
- Williamsburg Avenue
Geneva police responded to the area and identified a possible suspicious car, a white 1999 Ford Explorer with Illinois license plate ET97912. The car fled when officers attempted to conduct a traffic stop, officials said.

The Geneva Police Department's policy prohibits officers from pursuing cars that were involved only in property crimes. Detectives are working to locate the Ford and identify the drivers. In the meantime, residents with doorbell or security video footage are encouraged to call police at 630-232-4736.
