City's Newest Hair Salon, Sola Salon Studios, Opens At Geneva Commons

GENEVA, IL — The city's newest hair salon has opened at Geneva Commons. Along with the new Geneva location, Sola Salon Studios operates more than 600 salons throughout the United States, Canada and Brazil.

Located at 1610 Commons Drive, next to Corner Bakery, the location features 32 boutique, move-in ready salon studios with floor-to-ceiling walls and glass doors that fully close. Those rentable studios range in size to accommodate both single and double styling situations.

Salon owners' goal, officials said in a news release, is to help aspiring business owners "achieve their dreams" while also giving seasoned beauty professionals a chance to "explore the freedom and benefits of salon ownership without the risk and overhead of a traditional salon."

To help hairdressers, estheticians, nail technicians, massage therapists and makeup artists, studios are equipped with a variety of amenities.

• High-end hydraulic chair and modern custom cabinetry
• Full-spectrum lighting to emulate natural daylight
• Utilities and wi-fi included in weekly rental fee
• On-site laundry facilities and other shared amenities.

"As the most dominant salon studio concept in the segment, Sola Salon Studios allows beauty professionals to explore a better life as an entrepreneur and to become an independent owner of their own salon business," reads a Geneva Chamber of Commerce news release.
