En Fuego Porta-Potty Makes for Memorable Swedish Days
Fire officials say they don't know why a porta-john went up in smoke at one of Geneva's famed street festivals.

A porta-potty was the only casualty in a recent Friday morning fire that left fire officials — and Swedish Days attendees — scratching their heads.
The Kane County Chronicle detailed the June 24 incident in a Saturday report, citing the total loss at $1,300. The blaze ignited around 11:30 a.m. near Campbell and Fourth streets, the story said, and fire officials were unsure of the cause.
"'At the end of the day, we took the grandkids to meet their dad,'" eye witness Carolyn Hill said to a Kane County Chronicle reporter. "'So what was the best thing about Swedish Days? Watching the porta-potty burn.' That’s according to the grandchildren."
