The Grinch To Make Appearance At Whoville Breakfast Bash At Geneva Church

The United Methodist Church of Geneva is bringing back its free Whoville Breakfast Bash, featuring storytime with the Grinch.

GENEVA, IL — Not only will Geneva children have the opportunity to meet Santa this holiday season, but they'll also have the chance to eat breakfast with the Grinch.

The United Methodist Church of Geneva, located at 211 Hamilton St., is bringing back its popular Whoville Breakfast Bash Dec. 6, transforming the fellowship hall into Whoville from 9-11 a.m.

During the free event, children of all ages are invited to indulge in breakfast and enjoy storytime with the Grinch.

The church is also planning a raffle for large Squishmallow pillows of the Grinch and Max. To enter, guests should bring three cans of dog food, which the church is collecting for the Kane County Senior Council, organizers said.

The Whoville Breakfast Bash is happening the same weekend as the Christmas Walk, Holiday House Tour and Steeple Walk events. Santa will arrive in Geneva in time for the Christmas Walk Dec. 5, and children will have chances to visit him in his Geneva home — the Geneva Visitor Center, 10 S. Third St. — Dec. 6, 7, 13, 14 and 20.
