This Kane County City Ranks Among 'Best Of The West'
The city was named one of the premier communities for dining, shopping and festivals in West Suburban Living's 2025 Best of the West survey.

KANE COUNTY, IL — One city in Kane County has ranked among the "Best of the West" by West Suburban Living magazine readers.
Geneva was named one of the premier communities for dining, shopping and festivals as part of the magazine's 2025 Best of the West survey.

- Best Mexican Restaurant: Bien Trucha
- Best Chinese Restaurant: Cravings

- Best Sunday Brunch: Buttermilk (also in Downers Grove, Naperville)
- Best Burger: The Burger Local
- Best Deli/Sandwich Shop: Deane's Market & Deli
- Best Ice Cream: Graham's Fine Chocolate & Ice Cream (also in Wheaton)
- Best Festival or Fair: Swedish Days
- Best Art or Craft Show: Geneva Arts Fair
- Best Downtown For Shopping: Geneva
- Best Jewelry Store: State Street Jewelers
- Best Resale/Consignment Store: Always in Style
- Best Pet Store/Boutique: Two Bostons (also in Burr Ridge, Glen Ellyn, Naperville and Wheaton)
- Best Local Hotel: The Herrington Inn
- Best Wedding/Special Event Venue: The Herrington Inn
- Best Area Ice Arena: Fox Valley Ice Arena
- Favorite Sports Bar: Rookies (also in Elgin, Hoffman Estates, Roselle and St. Charles)
Geneva came in second as the town most readers would want to live in besides their own. Glen Ellyn came in first place, and Hinsdale and Naperville tied for third. Multiple businesses and events also received second and third place nods, including the Geneva French Market earning second place for "Best Farmers Market."
No other town has received this distinction as many times as Geneva has during the magazine's two-plus decades of conducting the "Best of the West" survey, city officials said in the past.

"Thank you to the residents, merchants, Geneva Chamber of Commerce, and stakeholders who all work hard to make Geneva a great place to live and visit," officials said in a news release.
