Prostitution Operation At Geneva Spa Leads To Woman's Arrest: PD

Geneva police said they concluded an investigation into prostitution activity at a local spa. A woman was arrested as a result.

GENEVA, IL — Geneva police concluded an investigation into prostitution activity at a local spa and charged a 43-year-old woman with misdemeanor prostitution as a result, officials said Friday.

Detectives began investigating Yuanyuan Spa, at 410 E. State St., following community reports of illicit activity at the business, according to a news release.

Liu Lin, of the 2600 block of South Wentworth Street in Chicago, was taken into custody without incident Sept. 11 and charged with one count of prostitution. Lin was transported to the Geneva Police Department for processing and released.

The woman is due to appear in court on Nov. 19.

Investigators from the State of Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation assisted Geneva police with the case. Police detectives and state investigators also visited an additional business — whose name officials did not provide in a news release — to verify proper licensing.
