Comfort Suites Anniversary Party to Raise Funds for Red Cross

To celebrate the second anniversary of the hotel's opening, the Comfort Suites Grayslake is having a birthday party on Monday, May 16. The public is invited and will join representatives of local businesses, Chambers of Commerce and local government in enjoying some cake.

The event also has a larger purpose. They will be raising funds to assist in the relief efforts for Alabama storm victims.

"Please come in for a piece of cake, but don't bring a present," said Michelle Dillon, director of sales. "Instead, we ask that you bring any cash donation that you can, which we will forward to the Red Cross."

The candles will be blown out and the cake cut at 3 p.m., but the cake will be available as long as supplies last. Everyone is welcome to come in for a snack and a tour.

"Our management company is headquartered in Alabama, so we're hoping to be able to help those in need with this event," said Dillon.

is located on Belvidere Road in Grayslake, at the intersection of Routes 45 and 120, directly adjacent to the restaurant.
